🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Lunch Money is another comedic, entertaining book by Andrew Clements about typical school shenanigans. This one was really interesting to me because it is about something I like – making money.

Greg Kenton is very talented, especially with making money. From lemonade stands to cleaning his brother’s room, he has had lots of schemes to make money. Greg realizes his neighbor, Maura is opening a business and he gets mad that she is copying him. This starts a war between them as they one-up each other’s money making plans. Greg starts making comics, something that he doesn’t think Maura won’t be able to copy. Their rivalry continues throughout the book with the stakes getting higher and higher. Will they realize that they will be able to achieve much more while working together, or continue fighting over money?

My favorite part about the book is that it shows how making money can turn into a contest very easily which really isn’t a good thing.
